If You Had Read It

If you had read the simple seven points
they you would know
far more about me
than everything else that you knew to date

Perhaps you did
Perhaps you did not
and either way it doesn't matter

Your feelings, my feelings, our feelings
cold and grey as dead ashes
to keep them that way
no water need be added
it need simply flow under the bridge of life

one extinguished in exchange for another to grow
its the balance of nature
the only religion that none have quarrel with.

Odd how we don't change
we only hide the self inside
and show the parts
they want to see.
